Report from the Senate Tri-Chairs. Chair Vivian Gadsden discussed the forthcoming “roundtable” events being assembled by the Senate leadership for the spring semester. The first will focus on the role of universities in public and the second will focus on the role of universities in systems that are ostensibly designed to improve the health and wellbeing of children and families in urban areas.

Updated and Discussion with Selected Faculty Senate Committees. Mid-year briefings were offered by Professor Iourii Manovskii in his role as chair of the Senate Committee on the Economic Status of the Faculty and by Professor Nelson Flores in his role as chair of the Senate Committee on Faculty Development, Diversity, and Equity. Both committees will issue their final reports during the spring 2023 semester.
