Applications Sought for Solo Exhibitions at the Burrison Gallery
The Burrison Gallery Advisory Committee invites Penn faculty, staff, and their families to apply for an opportunity to showcase their artwork. Selected artists will be offered a solo exhibition lasting four to five weeks, with the option of hosting an opening reception. Exhibits typically feature no more than 30 works centered around a common theme and medium. Artwork must be two-dimensional (such as paintings, prints, photography, or drawings), framed, and wired for hanging. All pieces must be hung using cables from a wall-mounted track system, allowing for both horizontal and vertical placement. Direct wall mounting is not permitted. The artist is responsible for the installation, with guidance from the gallery. A new exhibition, Overcoming the Horror of Illness, will be on display through January 10, 2025. An opening reception will take place at the Burrison Gallery, the Inn at Penn, 2nd floor, 3611 Walnut St., on Friday, November 22, from 5-7 p.m.
