Treasures of the Museum's Egyptian Galleries1. Sandstone Statue from Abydos of Sitepehu, the Overseer of Priests, during the reign of Hatshepsut, ca. 1479-?1458 B.C.E. 2. Statue of Amun, the great state god at Thebes, from ca. 1332-1292 B.C.E. 3. Lintel carved of limestone that commemorates the joint regency of Hatshepsut, one of the first female pharaohs, and her nephew/stepson Thutmose III. Dating from ca. 1479-1458 B.C.E., the lintel was found in the mortuary temple of Ramses II in Thebes. 4. Gilded funerary mask from the Ptolemaic or Roman Period (after 300 B.C.E.)
