The successor to the Digital Edge 50 Awards, the FutureEdge 50 brings to light the most cutting-edge trials and applications of emerging technologies—and the innovative cultures enabling them. The EHR Chart Review Precision Medicine Tab supports Penn Medicine’s continuing initiatives to advance in precision medicine and genetic research. Penn Center for Precision Medicine group sought to leverage electronic health record (EHR) to include a comprehensive genetic component—advancing Penn Medicine’s mission around enabling clinicians to better detect disease faster and get needed care with a more tailored treatment plan before a person’s condition becomes more difficult to treat. The project allows researchers and clinicians to work within the integrated EHR that files and segregates precision medicine orders, results and reporting within a patient’s chart.
