Donna Huryn: 2024 Garvan-Olin Medal
Donna Huryn, a professor of practice in the department of chemistry of the School of Arts and Sciences, has been selected to receive the 2024 Francis P. Garvan-John M. Olin Medal from the American Chemical Society. The award recognizes distinguished service to chemistry by women chemists in the United States. The award consists of $5,000, a medallion with a presentation box, and a certificate.
The award was established in 1936 through a donation from Francis P. Garvan and has been supported by a fund set up at that time. The medallion was presented at a luncheon held at the ACS spring meeting.
