Penn Groups' CDs & DVD

Some of Penn’s performing arts groups have new CDs out this year, including Off the Beat and Penny Loafers, available online. Some CDs by other Penn groups are available at the Penn Bookstore.

offthebeatCo-ed modern rock a cappella group, Off the Beat, who was recently featured on Perezhilton.com, has just released their 17th studio album, The Empty Set. It features songs by Christina Aguilera, 30 Seconds to Mars, AFI, John Mayer and many more. The album can be downloaded for $15 or ordered in hard copy. Penny Loafers, a coed a cappella group that focuses on current pop and rock music has released their latest studio recording, Prophets and Pawns. Palestra Documentary DVD
Now available as a Special Collector’s Edition DVD is “The Palestra: Cathedral of Basketball,” a historic documentary written, directed and produced by Mikaelyn Austin C ’04. This documentary traces the evolution of college basketball through the rise of one of the most storied arenas in the country. Purchase at www.pennathletics.com for $24.99.
