(Above) Robert Rahway’s Zakanitch’s Big Bungalow Suite V, an 11-by-30-foot acrylic work of abstract art, will be on display in the Forum of the Annenberg School for Communication on April 1. This marks the first time Mr. Zakanitch’s work is on display at Penn since a 1982 exhibit at ICA. Mr. Zakanitch’s styles have ranged from abstract expressionism, to minimalism to pop art. The Forum in the Annenberg School building is open from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekends. The work will be on display through September 2008. |

 Nestled within the dawn redwood grove, meta Metasequoia will provide a fresh perspective of these wonderful trees. The exhibit will elevate visitors up into the tree canopy of the dawn redwoods by means of an artistic structure with stairs leading to the "basket," an open-air room whose floor is 12 feet above grade. Climbing up into the structure, nicknamed the "Grasshopper," visitors will be able to revisit the childhood feeling of being in a tree house, enjoy the views and relax in unusual intimacy with these majestic trees. |
