AIEA anticipates that grants will be awarded in the $2,500-$3,500 range. While this level of funding cannot support entire projects, we hope that these grants may leverage or supplement other funds to round out a project that may be underway or be seeking an outlet for publication and wider discussion. Abstracts of all the funded projects will be made available on the AIEA listserve and published in International Education Forum, AIEA's biannual journal. Funded researchers will be encouraged to submit full articles based on their research to the Forum.
Applications are welcome from any researcher at a higher education institution, either in the US or abroad. Specific research projects may fall in any of the four areas/methodologies indicated in "A Research Agenda":
Projects that include state-wide, regional or national frameworks, control groups or comparative analyses are strongly encouraged. Topically, projects may deal with any of the broad issues identified as priority areas:
Each research topic should be designed to highlight a national need and how this need can be met with a strategic allocation of resources.
