Watercolors at the Faculty Club: Martha Huggins
The Burrison Art Gallery at the Faculty Club currently has an exhibition of watercolor paintings by Martha Huggins, a member of the Faculty
Club staff since 1988. She graduated from DePauw University where she was an art major. Then, taught art in the public schools of Indiana and
Missouri. Ms Huggins also served as a graphic artist at the University of Missouri Medical Center. She is a member of the Community Arts Cen
ter in Wallingford where she exhibits in member shows and continues to take classes. "A watercolor workshop there recently rekindled her inter
est in this media," said Maurice Burrison, curator of the Gallery which was named for him in 1990. "Although this is her first showing of water
colors, several years ago Martha exhibited her acrylic and pastel paintings at the Faculty Club."
A reception for the artist will be held Thursday, June 19, 4:30-6:30 p.m. The University community is invited to attend. The exhibition will be
on view until August 29, open to the public on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
