IIE Fellowships, Eastern Europe

The Institute of International Education (IIE) announces a fellowship program for young American researchers in professional, policy and public administration-related fields who want to de-velop a specialized knowledge of East Central Europe, the Baltic States and the NIS. Candidates may apply for grants to Albania, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Slovenia or Ukraine.

The program is funded by the Research and Training for Eastern Europe and the Independent States of the Former Soviet Union Act of 1983 (Title VIII).

Application deadline is February 2. Finalists will be selected by a panel of specialists in appropriate fields and interviewed by telephone in March. Notification will be made in April. For application forms, brochures, information:
