NCURA Award to Anthony Merritt
Yesterday in Washington, D.C., the University's Executive Director
of Sponsored Programs, Anthony Merritt, received the National Council of
University Research Administrators' 1995 Award for Outstanding
Achievement. Mr. Merritt, who has been a research administrator at Penn
for 30 years and has headed the program since 1985, is a former
president of NCURA but was cited for contributions beyond the
organization and his own institution--among them his role in founding
and developing other professional bodies such as the Association of
University Technology Managers and the National Academy of Research
Administration.
