Morris Arboretum is calling all scarecrows for its annual Scarecrow Design Contest. This year participants may create a scarecrow for the theme: Famous Art & Artists. Those who sign up by Thursday, September 24 ensure their place in the contest. The entry fee is $30, with a $5 discount for those who register by Friday, September 11. Scarecrow frames, straw, burlap and twine are all provided. Details and downloadable contest entry forms are available online at www.bit.ly/MAcrows
These scarecrows—more than 30—will be on display along Scarecrow Walk at the Oak Allée for four weeks, from Saturday, October 3 through Sunday October 25, one week longer this year. Now in its eighth year and more popular than ever, Scarecrow Walk is a must see for the fall season.
