Words at Work; June 3, 6 and 11; 9 a.m.-noon; $75. Are you ready to improve your business writing skills? This 3-part workshop is designed to provide you with an updated, practical, no-nonsense perspective on today’s business writing. The workshop challenges many long-held assumptions about the “right” way to communicate. By the end of this course, you will: gain a better understanding of the dynamics of written communication; try out a group of the latest writing tools; transform tentative, imprecise writing into effective communication; energize your writing style; develop appropriateness, clarity and powerful expression; and learn how to revise your own work.
Brown Bag Matinee: Developing your Presentation Skills; June 4; 11 a.m.-noon; free. Fear. That’s the main reason most people won’t make presentations—or make them poorly. By following the three simple lessons in the video, “I Wasn’t Prepared for That,” anyone can conquer presentation phobia and go on to make his or her case successfully and professionally.

Learn how your Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) results and personality type impact your personal development—and your career. It’s a simple tool used to go beyond the realm of fuzzy goal-setting into an actionable plan for results. Put yourself on the fast-track of achieving your goals by applying the SMART principles.

Career Management in the Age of the App; August 21; 12:30-1:30 p.m.; $40. This online workshop is designed for all professionals who are looking for clarity on the next steps in their career. This session will provide you with a new framework for thinking about career advancement, and will help you articulate big picture goals and milestones for the next six months to one year.
