National Constitution Day, September 17, is an annual celebration of our nation's founding document.
The Penn community is invited to attend the School of Arts & Sciences' 60-Second Lecture at Stiteler Plaza, 37th and Locust Walk beginning at 11:55 a.m. to hear Jack Dwiggens, history lecturer and research associate at the McNeil Center for Early American Studies, discuss the political landscape during the drafting of the U.S. Constitution. Stop by to pick up a free pocket Constitution, courtesy of the Office of Government and Community Affairs.
The Penn Bookstore will feature a special display of American history books. Students from Penn Leads the Vote will conduct a voter registration drive in the Penn Bookstore lobby from noon-2 p.m.
Students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to enjoy the National Constitution Center's free admission and schedule of Constitution Day events on Tuesday, September 17 from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. A complete listing of the celebrations at the NCC can be found at http://constitutioncenter.org/constitution-day/

Voter Registration Information
Monday, October 7, 2013 is the deadline to register to vote in Pennsylvania's 2013 Municipal Elections on November 5, 2013. If you have recently moved, you will need to re-register at your new address in order to vote at your local polling place.
Register to vote and bring your questions about voting in Pennsylvania to Locust Walk outside of the Penn Women's Center, 3643 Locust Walk, on National Voter Registration Day, Tuesday, September 24. OGCA is collaborating with the Penn Women's Center from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. to provide registration forms, voter information, American flags and refreshments to encourage students, faculty and staff to register before the October 7 deadline and Election Day on November 5, 2013.
