Play Smart: How to Avoid Exercise Injuries; May 23; noon–1 p.m.; free. Spring is the perfect time to recharge your body and jump into an exercise routine. But pulled muscles, sore knees and a host of other injuries can quickly put you on the sideline if you’re not careful. This interactive workshop will show you how to make a safe start to your spring fitness routine. You’ll learn different warm-up, flexibility and core strengthening exercises to help injury-proof your body. This workshop will be led by Chad Bong, a certified massage therapist, sports medicine instructor and owner of Philadelphia Sports Acupuncture.
