In the October AT PENN calendar, under TALKS, the October 18 lecture by Terri Lipman, Hitch Your Wagon to a Star: A Roadmap for Promoting the Health of Children with Endocrine Disorders, had the wrong time; it will begin at 3 p.m. in the Ann L. Roy Auditorium in the School of Nursing’s Claire M. Fagin Hall.
In the October 2 story about the new lunchtime talk series, Food for Thought, at the University Club, the date for the talk on the Maya 2012 exhibit by Martin Simon should have said the talk will be on Friday, November 16.
In the October 2 Honors & Other Things column, Dr. Barbara Medoff-Cooper, who received the Nurse Scientist Award, was referred to as the inventor of a device. It should have said she is the co-inventor of the Neonur device; developed in collaboration with Dr. Jay N. Zemel, the H. Nedwill Ramsey Professor Emeritus of Sensor Technologies in the department of electrical and systems engineering in SEAS at Penn.
