Have you thought about your retirement goals lately? With the end of the calendar year approaching, now’s the perfect time to take a look at your savings and figure out how to maximize your contributions in the coming year.
For calendar year 2012, your combined pre-tax and Roth contributions generally cannot exceed $17,000 per year. You’re eligible for additional catch-up contributions beginning January 1 of the year in which you turn age 50 and/or when you have at least 15 years of service with the University.
