Support for Residents Displaced by Last Week's Five-Alarm Fire

January 18, 2011, Volume 57, No. 18

Dear Penn Community,

As many of you know, a huge five-alarm fire consumed an apartment building in West Philadelphia last Monday. Many of our neighbors and some of our students and colleagues have been left homeless. They have lost everything in the fire.

Please join us in donating much-needed items to help families as they strive to cope with this tragedy. Please take the following items for men, women and children to any of the below listed drop sites by Wednesday, January 19:

• new underwear, socks, toiletries/toothbrushes;

• new/gently used coats, winter clothing, boots, shoes, large totes,  sweaters, sweatshirts, gloves/hats and scarves.
