The Monell Center announced the inaugural Martin Meyerson Lecture, established by Margy Meyerson to honor her late husband, president emeritus of the University of Pennsylvania, as well as a charter Monell Board member and long-time chair.
The Inaugural Martin Meyerson Lecture will be held on Monday, October 25, at 3:45 p.m. in the Woodlands Ballroom at the Hilton Inn at Penn. To commemorate this series, Dr. Matthew Meyerson, son of Martin and Margy, will deliver the first talk: Genomic Studies of Cancer and Other Human Diseases. Dr. Meyerson, a distinguished cancer researcher at the Dana-Faber Cancer Institute and Harvard Medical School, is the winner of the 2009 Paul Marks Prize in Cancer Research.
