The program will focus on human and microbial diversity and how variation in genetic material reflects our history and shapes our health. The lecture is appropriate for all levels of background and is co-sponsored by the Penn Genome Frontiers Institute (PGFI) and The Franklin Institute.
Topics and speakers:
Genomes and Genealogy as Revealed by Computational Biology; Junhyong Kim, Edmund J. and Louise W. Kahn Professor of Biology; PGFI Co-Director
An African Odyssey Through the Human Genome; Sarah Tishkoff, David and Lyn Silfen University Associate Professor; Genetics and Biology
