AirPennNet Service Upgrades: May 24
April 20, 2010, Volume 56, No. 30

ISC Networking & Telecommunications has begun a series of upgrades to AirPennNet that will enhance both the speed and security of the wireless network.  These upgrades, which will begin in May 2010 and continue through June 2011, are being implemented in phases to allow for uninterrupted wireless service. For the first phase, individuals using Windows laptops to connect to AirPennNet are required to upgrade SecureW2 software to the most current version before May 24, 2010. Users of handheld devices and Macintosh laptops do not need to make any changes at this time.

To learn more about the service enhancements and to determine what steps to take before May 24 to continue to use AirPennNet service, Windows users should consult the transition schedule at the AirPennNet pages at: www.upenn.edu/computing/wireless.

AirPennNet users who need assistance or more information should contact their Local Support Provider (LSP).
