The Andrea Baldeck Photo exhibit, “The Texture of Trees” is on display at the Morris Arboretum. It features black and white photographs in close up and landscape that capture the majesty of the botanical world. The exhibit is free with regular admission.

Initially appointed to the Penn Museum Board of Overseers in 1991, Dr. Baldeck, who received her medical degree from Penn in 1979, has served on the Museum’s Executive Committee, Outreach/Public Programs Committee, Repatriation Committee, and as Chair of the Nominating Committee.

Her most recent exhibit at the Penn Museum, “Himalaya: Land of the Snow Lion” contains 50 black and white images of the harsh and dramatic Himalaya mountain range stretching from Northern India to Western China.  The exhibition runs until March 8, 2009.

Last May, Dr. Baldeck became the latest recipient of the Angell Medal, established by the Museum to honor distinguished service to Penn Museum by a Museum supporter.
