Dealing with the demands of work and personal life can be challenging. That’s why we offer a variety of free workshops led by experts from Penn’s Employee Assistance Program and Work & Family Benefit provider, Penn Behavioral Health, to offer information and support for your personal and professional life challenges. Note that each workshop will include an optional Q&A period from 12:30 to 1 p.m. For more information and/or to pre-register, visit www.hr.upenn.edu/quality/workshop.asp or call (215) 573-2471.
Effective Communication with Teens; October 10; noon to 1 p.m.; free. This workshop is designed to help adults, parents in particular, establish and maintain meaningful levels of communication with teenagers. Participants will learn about the following topics: dealing with your feelings, accepting the challenge, communication methodologies, dealing with difficult subjects, spirituality and religion, and sex and sexuality.
Effective Multi-tasking; October 25; noon to 1 p.m.; free. Doing more than one thing at a time–and doing it effectively–is a skill that’s become increasingly important in today’s society. Participants will learn to define multi-tasking, assess your personal skill set, make an art of multi-tasking, and improve your skills with gadgets.
