Penn ProWomen’s Event: March 26
March 20, 2007, Volume 53, No. 26

The Penn Professional Women’s Network (Penn ProWomen) welcomes new and current members to attend its Spring Forum on Monday, March 26 from 3:30-5 p.m., in the Benjamin Franklin Room, Houston Hall. Dr. Janice Bellace, Deputy Provost will speak about Creating a Work Environment in Which Women Can Compete. Refreshments will be served.

Penn ProWomen provides opportunities for women faculty and administrators to meet for intellectual exchange, to advocate policies and processes that support the advancement of women, to give recognition to the distinguished accomplishments of women and to provide opportunities for women students to meet accomplished women on the campus.

Since the group’s  founding in 1948, they have worked to improve the status of women on campus and to provide assistance to women who have suffered gender discrimination. In 2004, the group changed its name from Association of Women Faculty and Administrators to Penn Professional Women’s Network, or Penn ProWomen. Membership is open to all Penn faculty and staff.
