The Network Policy Committee, IT Roundtable, and the Vice President for ISC wish to call your attention to a recently revised networking/computing policy. This policy, the “Policy on Deployment, Operation, and Registration Requirements for Wireless Access Points on PennNet,” deals with requirements for Wireless Access Points (APs) and related wireless LAN infrastructure operating on PennNet. This revision to a policy first approved in 2001 includes clarifications through additional definitions and discussion of risks. It also expands on the specifics of handling situations involving contention and/or interference between and among wireless networks.
