Annual Penn Family Performance & Picnic in Celebration of International Children’s Festival

The Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts, home of Penn Presents, in collaboration with Penn’s Department of Human Resources, is sponsoring the Penn Family Performance and Picnic, Sunday, April 30—Opening Day of this year’s “funtastical” Philadelphia International Children’s Festival. Penn faculty, staff, and students are invited to obtain up to four complimentary tickets for their family (including themselves, their children, and/or grandchildren) to attend the following three activities as Penn’s guests:

•  Kardelen Folklore Group and Hands-on Crafts for Kids; 3 p.m., Annenberg Plaza,

•  Daredevil Opera Company’s Cirkus Inferno; 4 p.m., Zellerbach Theatre, Annenberg Center, and

•  Penn Family Picnic, featuring the Give & Take Jugglers and a kid-friendly dinner of hot dogs, hamburgers, veggie burgers, soda, chips, and ice cream; 5 p.m., Annenberg Plaza.

Free tickets are limited; when they are gone, tickets are $6 (half off the full price). To enable broad participation by the Penn community, 400 complimentary tickets are being set aside for the April 30 Penn Family Performance & Picnic. These can be obtained in person—on a first come, first served basis—at the Annenberg Center box office, open weekdays 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and Saturdays  noon-6 p.m.

All tickets beyond the four-ticket per family limit—as well as above the 400 complimentary ticket allotment—for the Penn Family Performance & Picnic can be obtained at a special Penn Family rate of $6 apiece.  In addition, all Penn families attending this event can obtain equivalent numbers of tickets for the other events in the week-long—April 30-May 6—festival at a special Penn Family rate of $9 for adults and $7 for children.
