Professional Development Program—Managing Up: The Partnership of Dancing; April 27; noon to 2 p.m.; $20. Managing up is like dancing. One person is the designated leader, but as the partner you need to be able to anticipate movements, know when you are going to be dipped or spun around, and learn how to take the lead if you need to recover gracefully from the leader’s “misstep.”  Managing up is the process of consciously working with your supervisor to obtain the best possible results for you, your boss and the University.
