The Organization of Emeritus Faculty: November 4

Dear Colleagues,

This is the announcement of the general meeting that I promised in the letter I sent in August.  Most of the responses to that letter were extremely supportive. They suggest that we have sufficient collective enthusiasm to establish and maintain an organization that can be very valuable both for its members and for the University.

All Emeritus Faculty are cordially invited to attend the meeting in 200 College Hall (second floor center)  from 4 to 5 p.m. on Thursday, November 4.  The room is probably too large for our needs, but it is centrally located and easily accessible.  It is also convenient to Houston Hall, where many Emeritus Faculty members will be heading at 5 p.m. for the annual 25-Year Club reception and dinner.
