Frontotemporal Dementia
International
experts will discuss state-of-the-art approaches to frontotemporal
dementia in a two-day satellite
meeting--Frontotemporal Dementia: Clinical, Genetic,
Biomarker and Pathological Perspectives--July 15-16
at Meyerson Hall. Topics will include clinical overviews
of progressive aphasia and social/personality disorder;
structural, functional, and biochemical imaging; CSF tau
and other biomarkers; animal models of tauopathies; genetic
studies of FTD; and effects of FTDP-17 mutations on tau
structure and function.
Physicians, scientists, and caregivers
are welcome to register without cost. Poster presentations
are encouraged, and due to space limitations, participants
are asked to register by June 1, 2004. Registration
