Conversations Exploring Issues of Race

Dear Staff:

Dialogues on RaceAs you may know, on May 17 Penn will celebrate its 248th Commencement. The date also marks the 50th anniversary of the U.S. Supreme Court's landmark decision in Brown v. Board of Education. The Penn community has observed this significant anniversary with a variety of programs all around the campus this semester.

Beginning next week, as part of Dialogues on Race, your colleagues will host and facilitate conversations exploring issues of race as well as related issues of ethnic, cultural and language diversity and how they impact the work environment at Penn. You are invited to join other staff members in conversation on Thursday, April 29 from noon-1 p.m.  and Tuesday, May 4 from 1-2 p.m. in Houston Hall. You may RSVP to dialogues@pobox.upenn.edu or by calling (215) 573-0549.

For more information consult the Dialogues on Race web site at www.upenn.edu/dialogues_on_race/.
