Authenticated Access on PennNet

The Network Policy Committee, IT Roundtable, and the Vice President for ISC, wish to call your attention to a recently approved revision to a networking/computing policy. This policy, Policy on Requirements for Authenticated Access at Public Jacks, Kiosks, Wireless Networks, and Lab Computers on PennNet, is a revision to a policy first approved on September 10, 2001. The revised policy which became effective January 12, 2004 specifies authentication and accounting requirements for certain user access to PennNet. This policy document also provides related "best practice" recommendations on configuration decisions associated with authentication and accounting.
