$2 Million Gift: Jerry Lee Center

The Jerry Lee Criminology Center has received a $2 million gift from its namesake Jerry Lee, president of WBEB 101.1 FM radio station.

The funds will be used to recruit two new assistant professors to the Center, for research and to teach the cause and prevention of crime and criminology at the introductory and graduate levels. Mr. Lee donated $5 million to establish the Center in 2001 (Almanac October 9, 2001).
