Cells: Research Advances and Future Prospects

December 11, the Office of the Vice
Provost for Research, the Doris Duke
Charitable Foundation and the Abramson
Cancer Center will co-sponsor a symposium, Stem
Cells: Research Advances and Future
Prospects.
We
would like to extend an invitation
to the entire Penn community to attend
the symposium at the Annenberg Center,
8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m., to hear talks
from four distinguished scientists.

Stem Cells; Ihor Lemischka, Princeton
University, Stem Cells in the Post-Genome
Era; Catherine Verfaillie, University
of Minnesota, Unexpected Potential
of Adult Stem Cells; and Arthur
Caplan, Penn, The Ethical Pros
and a Few Cons of Stem Cell Research.
