Silent Auction
You
are invited to a wine and cheese reception for fun, fellowship
and fund raising by the Association of Women Faculty and Administrators
(AWFA). The reception will be followed by a silent auction on
March 21, from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at the Penn Women's Center,
3643 Locust Walk. A wide variety of items ranging from original
paintings to elegant shawls and tickets for local dining out will
be auctioned silently. Prices will range to suit all budgets.
You do not need to be a member of AWFA to attend this event.
AWFA
promotes fellowship among professional women on campus, and presents
awards (Alice Paul, Lenore Rowe Williams, Robert E. Davies, Lynda
Hart) for distinguished accomplishments. AWFA also nominates women
to participate in HERS, a professional development program for
women leaders in higher education, held at Bryn Mawr College each
summer. It is to support these activities that we are holding
our fundraiser.
The
Palladium Restaurant is generously donating the reception.
In
order to have an estimate of the number of attendees, we would
appreciate your response by e-mail to: heyner@mail.med.upenn.edu.
We look forward to sharing an enjoyable evening on March 21 at
the Women's Center.

Heyner, for AWFA Executive Board
