Faculty Senate Officers Elected for 2000-2001

I would like to thank the Senate Nominating Committee, chaired by Robert
Hornik, for their hard work in fulfilling their role for the Faculty Senate.

December 7, 1999, for members of the Nominating Committee.)
No additional nominations were received by the deadline and therefore
the Senate Nominating Committee's slate of nominees is hereby declared elected.
Effective May 3, 2000, the Faculty Senate Officers for the coming
year will be:
- Chair: Larry Gross (prof communication)
- Past Chair: To be selected at May SEC meeting
- Chair-elect: David B. Hackney (prof radiology at HUP)
- Secretary: Sarah H. Kagan (asst prof nursing)
- Past Secretary: Martin Pring (assoc prof physiology/med)
- Secretary-elect: Edward L. Rubin (prof law)

for 3-year terms:

The terms of the new Faculty Senate Officers and the newly elected members
of the Senate Executive Committee begin with the taking up of new business
at the Senate Executive Committee meeting scheduled for May 3, 2000.
The terms of the newly elected members of the Committees on Academic
Freedom and Responsibility, Conduct, and Economic Status of the Faculty
begin on May 1. Full committee memberships will be published this
