A-3 ASSEMBLY
New Board, New ConstitutionThe A-3 Assembly is happy to announce the election of new 1999-2000 officers to its Executive Board. They are:
Due to many resignations from the Board for various reasons, the A-3 Assembly did not hold elections for general board membership this past Spring. However, there was a "call for nominations" that yielded three nominees who met the eligibility requirements. The remaining Board members used this time to amend their Constitution since a number of rules in it were inappropriate and unsuitable for the organization. An amendment that would be of interest is in Article II, Section A, Number 4 in which it states " ....where the 'call for nominations' do not yield enough nominees to fill all the vacant Board membership positions, the nominees that have been nominated will automatically be declared elected to the Board as unopposed candidates, providing they meet all the other eligibility requirements," thus allowing the current Board members to bring aboard the nominees who accepted their nominations.
