Provost Committee on Distributed Learning, 1999-2000
Provost Robert Barchi has announced the 1999-2000 membership of the
Provost's Committee on Distributed Learning, with the notation that "Penn
will be making important decisions over the next year or two about the direction
of its educational mission in the age of networked information. It is clear
that these decisions will affect the traditional on-campus community and
give us the opportunity to connect with new audiences, or connect with old
audiences in new ways, beyond the campus boundaries." A memorandum
