The new Fox Art Gallery on the ground floor of Logan Hall is displaying
several dozen models and sketches done by undergraduates in the Design of
the Environment Program, an "out-of-school" major in which College
students take their courses at the Graduate School of Fine Arts. Trustee
Bob Fox (C '52) and his wife Penny (Ed '53) contributed funds to renovate
the former Audiovisual Services space as a gallery specifically for student
work. Its summer debut featured Works by Members and Spouses of the University
of Pennsylvania Board of Trustees--which makes this the first student
exhibition in the new space. It runs through November 25, with hours Monday
through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Almanac, Vol. 45, No. 11, November 10, 1998 |
