If SEPTA is Out . . .

Over the weekend SEPTA and the Transport Workers Union made serial announcements that continued SEPTA services while contract talks went past the stated deadline of 12:01 Sunday. With talks still in progress at presstime, Penn's Department of Transportation remained on alert with special shuttles and parking arrangements to help alleviate the difficulties that would arise if a strike occurs.

Benefits Redesign II...Classification

The President, Provost and Executive Vice President accept the recommendation of the Benefits Redesign II; Human Resources summarizes the results of the Classification Study. More on the Classification Study and its implementation will be mailed to staff later this month.
 

Death of Ms. Higginbotham

At presstime notice was received of the death of Alyce Collier Higginbotham, the 40-year-old senior counselor and assistant director of the Penn Women's Center. Information on tomorrow's funeral service is given here, and details of her life will appear next week.
