Sleight of Hand, Light of Hand

Dexterity was a bona-fide occupational requirement for some of the performers who entertained Penn and community families during Staff Appreciation Weekend. Kids and parents who chose the December 8 events in the University Museum's "Peace Around the World" celebration saw dexterity at work in two forms:

Near right, Lulle Canuso of the Museum Catering Co. shows the youngsters how to build an elaborate Victorian Gingerbread House for the holidays, starting from scratch with the construction of walls from the spicy cookie dough, and later in her workshop showing how it is decorated with icing and candies.
