The President, Provost and Executive Vice President have invited all Penn faculty and staff to bring their family and friends for the picnic and other activitieswhich begin at noon at Hill Field with entertainment by the Penn Glee Club, Penn Cheerleaders and Marching Band, and visiting clowns and face-painters.
President Judith Rodin will give the Welcoming Remarks at approximately 12:20 p.m.
The Picnic Lunch (of Santa Fe chicken, hot-dogs, pasta salad, Caesar salad, beverages and dessert) is from 11:30 a.m.1:30 p.m., at Hill Field, 34th and Walnut Streets (Rain location: Hill House).
At the University Museum, the Halloween spirit reaches out to the crowd with free family admission (with PENNcard), to its the Ghosts, Goblins & Graveyards event,noon4 p.m. The activity-filled afternoon has workshops and stories,face-painting and mask-making, fortune-telling and gallery visits to see the ancient Egyptian mummies--plus a special Halloween dance performance as the grand finale to this multi-cultural event. The Football Game: Penn vs. Lehigh, begins at1:30 p.m., at Franklin Field, 33rd and Spruce Streets. Admission for Penn faculty/staff is free and tickets for family and friends to attend the game are $2 each, available via campus mail if orders are received before October 11, or in person at Weightman Hall Ticket Office, MF, 10 a.m.4:30 p.m. Ticket Office: 8986151.
