Dr. David K. Hildebrand, a distinguished professor
of statistics who chaired the Faculty Senate in 1992-93 and was known
to many as the genial and witty moderator of the University Council for
many years, died Tuesday evening, July 13, of cancer.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia, who is the Database Administrator
of Social Sciences Computing in the School of Arts and Sciences, and their
sons, Martin V. and Jeffrey D.
Dr. Hildebrand's colleagues will hold a campus memorial service in September.
Details will be in the first fall issue of Almanac (September 7),
along with an appreciation of his life and career. |
